This Privacy Policy Notice explains the privacy policies of First Bank of Delaware and PaidByCash with respect to the PaidByCash Virtual MasterCard. Those policies involve the sharing of your nonpublic personal information in accordance with the terms and conditions described below.

This Privacy Policy Notice will help you understand how we safeguard and use information, and applies to all customers or former customers who obtain financial services from us for personal, family or household purposes. This Privacy Policy Notice also addresses information sharing with credit reporting agencies. DEFINITIONS

  • We, our, and us, means First Bank of Delaware and PaidByCash, the marketer and servicer for your PaidByCash Virtual MasterCard issued by First Bank of Delaware.
  • You and your mean customers with a PaidByCash Virtual MasterCard issued by First Bank of Delaware, as well as any consumers who apply for a PaidByCash Virtual MasterCard issued by First Bank of Delaware.
  • Nonpublic personal information means information about you that we collect in connection with providing the PaidByCash Virtual MasterCard or any other financial product or service to you. Nonpublic personal information does not include information that is available from public sources, such as telephone directories or government records.
  • Affiliate means a company First Bank of Delaware owns or controls, a company that owns or controls First Bank of Delaware, or a company that is owned or controlled by the same company that owns or controls First Bank of Delaware. Ownership does not mean complete ownership, but means owning enough to have control.
  • Nonaffiliated third party means a company that is not an affiliate of First Bank of Delaware.
  • Opt out means a choice you can make to prevent certain sharing or use of information. We will explain how you can exercise this choice.

COLLECTION OF INFORMATION


We automatically collect and/or track the following non-public personal information from and about you in order to identify you as our customer, establish and manage customer accounts, complete customer transactions, understand customer needs and comply with legal and regulatory requirements. We collect and obtain customer information from various sources including the following:
  • We obtain information from you, including your request for our products or services. This includes information on your application for the PaidByCash Virtual MasterCard or other forms, and includes such information as your name, address, email address and telephone number.
  • We obtain information about your transactions with us, our affiliates and others. For example, we maintain record of your PaidByCash Virtual MasterCard account balances, payment history, and account activity.
  • We obtain information, such as your creditworthiness and credit history, from the credit reporting agencies.
  • We may obtain information that is generally available to the public.

We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Technology to prevent unauthorized parties from viewing any personal information you transmit to us. We continually assess new technology for protecting information. We continually strive to ensure that our operational and data processing systems are in a secure environment that protects your account information from being accessed by unauthorized parties.

You can also take steps to help safeguard your personal information. Protect your account numbers, PIN and customer access numbers. Never disclose confidential information to unknown callers.

We do not specifically intend to collect information from children (under 18 years old). We believe that children should get their parent’s consent before giving out personal information.

 

RETENTION TIME


Once you have provided personal information to us, we will store and maintain the information you have volunteered for so long as you have not directed us otherwise.   • REN respects your privacy. Any information you give us is private and confidential, and REN will not use it for any purpose other than to fulfill your request for products, services, information, or to inform you only of additional products and services provided by REN.
  • We do not share your information with any third party except our business partners, which includes Card Express, Inc. and First Bank of Delaware. They are the processor and issuing bank for your PaidByCash Virtual MasterCard® and are necessary to deliver our product.
  • We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer our website, and to facilitate your shopping experience. Your IP address is used to help identify you and your browser.
  • Our site uses cookies to keep track of your use of the REN website. A cookie is a small data file that certain websites write to your hard drive when you visit them. A cookie file can contain information such as a user ID that the site uses to track the pages you've visited. But the only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. A cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. You do not need to have cookies turned on to use the REN website.

A. REN Privacy Policy


We recognize the importance of protecting your personal information. Therefore, we have put together a privacy policy and approach that respects and addresses our customer needs as follows:

Personal information is any and all of the information specific to you that you provide us over the phone or through our Internet website. This includes personal data as varied as the information you enter into an online application for a new account, questions you ask via email or personal credit card data.

REN gathers information from you in order to:

Categories of Information Collected:

We collect non-public personal information about you from the following sources: 1) any information you provide to us on our website or in emails; 2) information about your transactions; and 3) information we receive from governmental agencies as it pertains to regulatory compliance issues.

Specifically, we collect information on you when you:

1. Create a Payment Code:
When you use www.paidbycash.com or an affiliated ecommerce site, we will ask you to fill out a form in order to generate a Payment Code to that you can use at a retail cash load location. This form may require the following information:
  • Your ZIP Code
  • The amount you wish to load into an account
     

2. Activate an account:
Before you activate your account, we will ask you to provide 4 pieces of information to process your transaction:
  • Your name
  • Your address
  • Your email address
  • Confirmation of your Payment Code

3. Use your account:
When you make a purchase with your account, we collect the following information from the merchant:
  • Name of Merchant
  • Transaction Date
  • Amount of Purchase

When you make inquiries to our automatic Interactive Voice Response System (IVR) or through a live Customer Service Representative, you will be asked to provide your unique authentication information. Either the automated system or the Customer Service Representative will have access to your account records in order to perform various functions requested by you.

Visitors to the REN website are anonymous until they login or register. We collect the following non-identifying information about our visitors: the name of the domain from which you access the Internet (for example, msn.com, if you are connecting from a Microsoft MSN account); the date and time you access our site; and the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to our site.

 

C. Our Disclosure of Information


REN does not and will not sell or provide personal information to unaffiliated third parties for independent use. We may disclose all of the information that we collect as described above to business partners, including Card Express and First Bank of Delaware if that information is required to provide the product or service you have requested. For example, in order to receive your virtual account we provide only the necessary information to the appropriate partner so that this service can be fulfilled. They adhere to using information only as directed by REN.

Except as outlined above, we limit the release of customer information. In addition to providing our customers with the opportunity to opt out of marketing offers, we release information only with the customer's consent or request. Or when we are required to do so by law or other regulatory authorities.

 

D. REN Email Policy


We will use your email address to contact you regarding your PaidByCash account, to deliver additional information to you or for other customer service and legal notice purposes. We also use your email address to answer your email or the customer service requests we receive from you. In order to provide consistent high-quality customer service, we may also store any correspondence with you in a file specific to you.

You can elect to receive updates via email regarding REN's products and services, service enhancements or special offers and promotions related to your account.

 

E. Opt-Out Policy


REN does not and will not sell or provide personal information to unaffiliated third parties for independent use. However, REN does wish to market to you additional products and services. If you prefer that we do not contact you in any way regarding additional REN products and services, you may opt-out of receiving future mailings or change or modify information previously provided to us by sending an email to cs2@paidbycash.com.

 

F. Children's Privacy


We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under 13 years old through the Site. However, if the parent or guardian of a child under 13 believes that the child has provided us with personally identifiable information, the parent or guardian of that child should contact our Privacy Compliance Officer through the contact information provided below if they want this information deleted from our files. If we obtain knowledge that it has personally identifiable information about a child under 13 in retrievable form in our files, we will delete that information from our existing files. In addition, anyone under 18 years old should seek their parent's or guardian's permission prior to using or disclosing any personal information on the Site.
